HIPPO Trailers was established during 2001, when I, Johan Fouché, identified a need for custom built trailers. These trailers fitted the expectations and designs of clients in a specific market. Customers often visited us to design and manufacture multi-purpose trailers or to modify standard trailers into trailers that fit their special individual needs.

JF Ondernemings was established in 1997. Our main goal was engineering work for companies eg.: Interstate Bus Lines,Big Sky Couches , Kalil Nissan, Durobrake & Clutch etc. JF Ondernemings soon became well known and took on various projects aside from engineering. The trailer-market boomed and so JF Ondernemings soon became the home-base for HIPPO Trailers, using our remarkable engineering knowledge to manufacture trailers for client’s individual needs.
